LIVE JAZZ EVERY SUNDAY @ MAP STUDIO CAFE
This will be taking place every Sunday from this month. This gives experienced musicians the chance to come down to the Cafe
and show off their talents, or just simply to soak up the atmosphere with great music, in a fabulous location. This starts at 1pm, and
ends at 6pm when the cafe closes.

COME AND JOIN US FOR A FESTIVAL IN THE HEART OF KENTISH TOWN

There will also be Indian 'Bangra' dancers demonstrating their dance moves, and plenty of Indian music and Bollywood tunes!

AS well as all this, there will be plenty of food and drink, as well as comfy lounge suits kindly donated for use by 176 Gallery.

Come along and enjoy the July sunshine with the help of Map Music and Alma street Committee!

Alma street is hosting the festival, with games and sports for Kids, markets and stalls for all, and a host of big names in music showing there support for the community.
Its Just 1 minutes walk from Kentish Town Tube Station.

Hardest working man in show business? Trouper? Tireless? However you want to put it, be sure of one thing, when DJ Vadim first heard the phrase "Don’t sleep” he obviously took it literally.

Trojan Sound System comprises -

Selectors - Earl Gateshead and Daddy Ad
Earl Gateshead began DJ'ing in Brixton in 1979.He is well known in London for his 20 year residency at The Dive Bar in London's Chinatown and his Saturday residency at the legendary Blue Note club. He has worked as selector and MC with Cutty Ranks, Big Youth, Dr Alimantado, and Dennis Alcapone. His reggae nights at Plastic People received Worldwide recognition. Daddy Ad comes from Roots and Reality Soundsystem and has worked with Eek-A-Mouse and Tappa Zukie,for example and has always, like Earl, pushed for new sounds and acts. his background as a full time drummer and audiohead means he is responsible for the sound system's FX, mixdowns and sound. As well as co selecting with Earl.

Vocalists - Superfour and Chucky Banton
The Sound System's vocalists have twenty years experience as members of the great South London Sound Systems: , Taurus, Sir Coxsone and Saxon. They have been chosen as the absolute cream of London's Reggae entertainers. Legendary Recording Artists including Lee Perry, Dr Alimantado, Tippa Irie, Dillinger, Dennis Alcapone, Horace Andy and Gregory Isaacs have all worked with the Sound System.
