Jimmy Screech Newsletter 17/12/08

Jimmy Screech with Dreadzone

Well the Festive month, the season of good will is upon us, and it is not only Santa Clause invading your home by unusual means! Map Music’s Very own Jimmy Screech has finally made his debut on the pages of the iTunes music store, and various other MP3 downlaod sites, such as Amazon etc. The first single, ‘’Wood 4 The Treez’, taken from the new Album for 2009, was released on the 8th December, so if you haven’t already, get downloading!!

Fans of Jimmy may know that he has been Gigging with some high profile hip-hop outfits of late. Namely Nightmares On Wax, at London’s Scala last Thursday, and Dreadzone, at the Jazz Café on the 4th of this month. Both Gigs went very well, with Jimmy and his band looking lean, mean and ready for business, complete with screaming girl fans. Jimmy’s bravado reached fever pitch as he worked the cheering audience!

This weekend, the 20th December, Jimmy will be performing again with Dreadzone, in aid of the anti-guns and knives charity campaign, ‘Highrise’ for Pama International. This is an excuse to come down to Jam in Brixton and party from 8pm Saturday, till 6am on Sunday morning, with some of the best live acts in the UK, Including Dennis Al Copone, Ed Rome, Dreadzone and of Course, Jimmy Screech. Follow the link below to buy tickets! Or else, you can try your luck on the door. Following in 2009 there will also be an accompanying compilation album, which you will get free if you buy a ticket to the event! A little Christmas gift to you from Pama International! For more information, read the press release below.

All that is left to tell you is, the Newsletter will be back in the New Year, with more regular instalments from Map Music to let you know all that has been happening, and is yet to happen, with Jimmy Screech. Thanks for all your support with the Jimmy Screech campaign, and Merry Christmas!! Have a great time bringing in the New Year, and we will see you in 2009.
