ALMA STREET FESTIVAL 2009

The Alma Street Festival played host to a number of re-noun artists this Sunday. The likes of Dawn Penn and Roots Manuva shared the stage with Jimmy Screech, and Mr Hudson, and great new local bands Attack of the Moths and Dansette Junior. The second stage saw the likes of folk artists The Cedars and Tipsy Gypsies, as well as soulful singer Ellie Mae, whos vocal stylings were perfect for a sunny Sunday afternoon!

All this along with great fun and games for the whole family, gymnastic and bhangra dance displays, and a host of stalls, selling everything from clothes and nick-nacks, to food and drinks, made the day a fantastic hit!

The Inkerman Area Residence Associiation, together with Map Music, would like to say a huge thank you to all of you who were there to help make the day the success it was! we could not have done it without you! We hope that all the residents had a great time too! We would also like to sincerely apologise for the first stage over running in time. We hope it did not cause too much interruption to your evening!

Thank you again to you all for making the the day such a success, and so much fun for all those who put in the hours organising the Alma Street Fete. We hope to see you next year
